accumalator in 47rh

hi everyone. i have a 47rh that i am rebuilding at the moment. problem is, when i tried to put the sonnax accumalator in, it sheared of one of the orings. is it supposed to be this tight? i ordered another seal kit for it and going to try and replace it this weekend.

It is a little tight, did you force it? It is a common leak point and a good seal is best.
Are you sure it is the right seal? And lubed?

ya, we lubed it, and for sure had to force it in. we actually had to use a shim to get it to start cause it would just pull the oring off. i couldnt believe it was so tight to get in.

heat the oring in a glass of hot or boiling water right before installation. The heat will soften the rubber a bit.

i will try that. is it supposed to be that tight in the bore? im sure it moves up and down, but it would take a lot of presure to do that.
