I had issues with my A/C, dealing with different problems. But when I was talking to my friend, who is a diesel mechanic at a dealership, he told me that the broken doors are a fairly common problem.

Definately sounds like a broken door. FWIW there is no vacuum pump on an 03. Found that out when my dad's power steering pump went out and he lost his brakes. Just thought you might want to know.

Does the floor/defrost stuff work fine at first, then quit after an hour or so running on AC in really hot temps?
In that case, the evaporator may be freezing up. Moving the temp sensor may help, and you would also want to make sure the drain is clear.
If on the other hand you don't have defrost or air to the floor when put in those modes right off the bat, then you likely have broken doors inside the housing.
THis thread may be helpful.
