Angry Ac problem

Got a question and i have read alot about this kind of thing but not exactly what i have goin.I can turn my ac on and put it on high and it blows ok for the mega cab and gets pretty cold but if i turn it down to low or the second setting after about 15-20 minutes it will quit blowing out of vents ill turn it back up and you can hear the fan blowing but nothing is coming out also can hear it changing while switching from floor to vent to defrost but no air comes out turn it off for for 20-30 minutes it will work again. Took it to dealer twice of course they always say "Could not be duplicated " any help or input would be greatly appreciated Thanks

Was it the '06 that had a fin sensor in the wrong location on the Evaporator? If so, the fix was to relocate it to a different fin. Should be a TSB if its so. What happened, IIRC, is the Evaporator would freeze up before the sensor told the brain it was too cold. With a froze up ball blocking the air from passing through the Evaporator, you lost your cool breeze.

No TSB on the fin temp relocate it was a call we'll tell you.By 06 or even 05 fin temp had been relocated on the evaporator.May low freon and its freezing up or mode door problem.First check the charge, basics first.

my experience

This is currently going on with my A/C too, in the past the fix was simple and the part is cheap but the labor will really hit you in the pants so hopefully you still have waranty. Fortunately a tech at my dealer had seen the problem and fixed it right away. Whats happening (at least with mine) is the flap that switches between the different vents (floor, dash , and defrost) is actually broke in a way that it wont always change right away and can actually get stuck some way to where NO AIR comes out any vent. Really a big pain in the tail end. Not so much when I was living in Wyoming but now that im back in Texas I really want my A/C to work right all of the time . Hopefully this is able to help you get your problem fixed.
