how do you bleed the abs unit? where is it?

it sits just forward of the rear axle, drivers side in the frame channel. you crack the bleeder on the unit, and without pumping, let it gravity bleed, when you dont see any bubbles, tap on the unit to release any more, do the same for rear cylinder.

Follow the lines from the rear wheels to the domahickey on the frame sooty mentioned. You'll know you have found it when you see a bleed fitting on the side.

I deleted mine, more trash I didnt need at the time. I cut the lines going into the unit and joined them together, bled the lines, brake pedal feels the same as before. braking was normal, but rears would lock up if hit hard on icy roads.

What did you do with the harness end that then plugs into the rear hydraulic unit's harness plug? If it's not plugged in to the truck's harness side, I'd imagine you'd have some kind of warning lights coming on in the dash right? Other then that removing it would make the braking system simpler in a sense.

Unplug the other doomahicky behind the glove box to take care of the warning light.
