ABS/BRAKE light on. what else do I replace

I've changed the rear wheel speed sensor, brake light switch. and the lights dont come on til the truck gets up to 65 M.P.H. every time I drive it. I can hear the A.B.S. solinoids clicking when the brake pedal is depressed even at a stop. my vehicle is 2 wheel A.B.S. only. has anyone else had this? what else should I do besides take it to the dealer?

That's all you can do at home! Take it to a Dodge dealer and have the ABS scanned for codes this will tell you what is wrong.

im sure you tried a reset? either pulling the abs fuse for 30 sec with the key on or disconnect the batteries for 30 sec.

if it was a 96 or older you could do the codes yourself.

yes, if I pull the fuse for a few seconds then put it back the dash lights go off. then when its up to speed again they light up. I've put over 45,000 miles on the truck with this issue going on, so you can tell that I refuse to go to the dealer. it doesn't bother me anymore, I just know others have gone through this and hopefully someone will share the fix to keep the rest of us away from the dealer.

I think you could go to the dealer and get the codes read on the spot without
leaving sight of your truck. I know what you mean, I would not trust them as well. They will fix one thing and break 5 other things in the process.

My dads abs and ebrake light wouldn't go off. Turned out it was the ABS module or whatever they called it under the hood. The electronic portion bolts onto it, and all the brake lines thread into it. His is a 2001, though.

Maybe that helps,
Shawn
