ABS and park brake light is on

My ABS light and park brake light stays on. Speedo and everything else works great. I tried scanning for codes with the smarty and nothing. Cruise control also works just fine. So would this still be the rear whell speed sensor or something else? Will the smarty read ABS codes?

You can't read the ABS codes without a special DC scanner. If you have rear wheel ABS, the rear sensor would be a good suspect, but if you have 4 wheel ABS do some reading on here or pay for the scan at a dealer then replace the right sensor. Also don't rule out a faulty stoplight switch especially if the lights are out when you start it up but come on when you reach 20 mph or so.

Sounds good so far. I have done a lot of reading, this site has WAY too much info to read through . The lights come on in the dash for the test after start and then go out for about one secound and then back on. And yes I do have 4 wheel ABS. Anyone else have any info?

I have the exact same problem! I have replaced my RWSS, but that was not the problem. How can I find out if my truck is four-wheel ABS? Please help.

Look to see if there are any wires running to the front wheels. If not try the stoplight switch, about $13.00 at Auto Zone.
