99 Dodge Ram Torque Converter Question
Is there a way to disable the torque converter lockup in my 99 Ram 3500. Can it be unplugged or turned of so I don't fry it under heavy boost. Just until I can get a performance converter put in.

You can wire in a 3 way lockup switch. The switch will allow you to have normal operation, no lockup and forced lockup after 2nd gear.
These are the instructions, you'll have to use a double pole double throw switch. The switch, depending on how you wire will allow no lockup in the middle postition. The other two positions will be lockup or normal operation. You have to cut the orange wire and not splice into it in order for the non lockup function to work. When you have the switch in lockup postion you'll have to remember to unlock the converter or the truck will shack and stall coming to a stop.
Thanks Mcmopar for the instructions.
