'97 Interior Switch Out

My new '97 has just come back from the paint shop the white that I've wanted. Now the only thing that would make this truck just what I want would be a beige interior, rather than the grey it now has.

Would any interior from '94 to '02 be a easy change out or are there specific years that would be a snap. It's be nice if the '02's would work, as I'm more likely to find an interior in good shape from those later years, at least in as good shape as the one I now have at a well cared for 59K.

they changed the interior for the 98 model. the newer interior has the seats with the seatbelts in the seat. i'm pretty sure the mounting of the seats is different to accomidate the strength required for the seatbelts. so anything from 94 to 97 should be a direct swap as far as mounting and brackets.

I have been trying to figure out the same thing for my '96. I have been wanting to update the interior for a long time and here's a couple of things I found out. If you want to get newer seats from a 98-01 you have to get the from a regular cab. Also any door paneling has to be from a regular cab as well. Hope this helps you out

I would assume you are changing the dash too. If so, I'd stay away from the 98 or newer as the wiring is quite different. Specifically regarding the addition of the Central Timer Module. Cluster wiring, door switches etc. are all different.
