95 injector pump question
Hey guys, I have discovered a small fuel leak on the engine side of my injector pump. The best I can tell it is the pivot arm that is connected to the fuel shutoff solenoid(where it comes out on the opposite side) It appears that the end of the shaft and the keeper(or whatever it is ) has popped out of the side of the pump housing.. Have any of you ever seen this and if so, what is the fix for it.. It has been the week for leaks.. I discovered this leak and also my lift pump is leaking along with the drain on my fuel/h20 seperator.. I was just curious about this pump issue.. My searches didnt pull up anything on this.. Thanks for your help..

I've never seen anything quite like that, but its hard to tell from the pics. Mine started leaking near there one time. It was the metal fuel return line that goes from the overflow valve to the back of the motor, it cracked at the first mounting tab and started spitting fuel. May not be the same as your problem, but thats all I could think of.

Are you sure its fuel? Looking at the pump I have in the basement, that shaft looks like the one on my pump. Can still see the pin in the shaft in your picture. Also, that part of the pump has oil in it, shouldn't have fuel. So it may be an external leak (like off the return line as mentioned) if its fuel.

Tate, I am not sure it is fuel.. I just assumed it was.. I had two other fuel leaks and noticed something leaking from that area..Since I put the new lift pump in(it was leaking like a seive.) the truck runs much better.. So where does this oil come from? is it engine oil that gets circulated through the pump?? and is this something I need to worry about??? Thank you for your reply. That shaft appears to go through the pump and attaches to the fuel shut off solenoid.. (Which is not travelling as far up as it shoud)

I'd say wash that area up, and then keep an eye on it. Engine oil is circulated in from that side of the pump, but towards the front. Oil return is at the front of the pump, behind the gear, dumps into the gear case.
