Hello, I never really cared for the 93 tail gate. Does anyone know what other year tail gates will bolt up to a 93? Hopefully one without the big trim piece. Thanks

I would like to know this too. My tailgate is missing the insert that says 'Dodge Ram'. I'd like to either get an insert that says 'Cummins' or a different tailgate.

A tailgate from any dodge ram, 81 to 93 will work.

^Yes, the gates are the same from 1981-93. From 1981-90 all the gates just had the DODGE RAM outline and usually had a vynle decal placed over it. In 91-93's the LE models got the tailgate you have. That aluminum trim piece cost more than the gate itself when it was available through mopar. But to each thier own.

Yeah it's still on the truck. I'm thinking of having the truck repainted. If I do that I'm going to look for a tail gate without the trim piece.

how about a TRADE ,,how good of condition is your tailgate,,and if its possible can you put up some pics of yours ,,and ill put up some of mine ,,,mine is from an 89 150 its white and in perfect condition,,,

Here's the truck I checked and the red on the tailgate isn't perfect. Almost looks like water got behind it.
