Exclamation 92 major wiring issue

my headlights on my truck wont turn off and my speedometer works wen it is cold oldside but wen it gets warm out it works once ina while, i have a new headlight switch an it didnt fix the headlight problem, but i noticed if i slam the door there turn off for a second, im thinking it is a body ground issue, where are the body grounds located on these trucks?

The one that causes a lot of trouble is from the battery to the radiator support.

92 wiring issues

Going through the same gremlins right now the speedo should be a seperate issue all together you may have a bad vehicle speed sensor pull it off and check to see how easy it spins mine did the same thing when cold worked fine when warmed it lost all continuity replaced with oe part not aftermarket as they do not hold up no as far as head light not turning off I would check all grounds on the truck as it will be with that circuit only or you could have a chaffed wire keeping power going to it even when off hope some of this helps Brian

I would check the back of the headlight switch again to make sure no pins are bent over and it is connected properly. It kinda does sound like a ground issue too, but something is sending power to it, thats what you have to find.

My headlight issues were with a ground....and a bad switch combined, so it could be a few things going on.

Was this truck originally from Canada? It is notorious for the DRL module to fail and you headlights will not turn off. Look on the passenger fender skirt for a black box with one connector with about 8 wires going into it.

Your headlights will still work with it unplugged, but your high beam indicator will not work.

The little black box under the washer bottle is the DRL module.
