92 D250 dually project

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum. thought i should make a thread for my junk.

here's my 92 d250. making it a dually and building a flatbed for it. motor is mostly stock.pump has been turned up and it has a 3200 spring and different fuel pin(done by previous owner).over 200k miles and still going strong. just picked up an 88 d350 for a parts donor.i'll post updates when i get the chance.

the 88 was an ex state truck.. most all of the sheet metal is in good shape. going to use the rockers, cab corners and fenders on the cummins...

I hope you realize that rear in the 88 is a Dana 60 not a 70 like the CUmmins trucks have.

i'm no dana expert, but i think its a 70?....
it has 70 markings on it..i just wanted it because its the cab and chassis width lol(for flatbed)

Man, that thing looks like it was brought up from the bottom of the sea. I don't know how you guys deal with all the rust you get back east, or where ever.

got the rockers swapped over and the doors hung. picked up a set of ramcharger mirrors on ebay for 20 bucks.. i like the looks of them

once the body work is done i'll rebuild the front end with new control arm bushings, ball joints, brakes, and get the dually bubs on...

took the week off from work to get some things done....goal is to have it "finished" in may, just in time for prom

put new brakes on the front and rear. ran all new brakes lines .repacked the front bearings with new seals and put the d350 hubs on. found out the d70 has 4.56 gears...aaand i built a little flatbed

Dude that will be sweet when you get it done! I don't remember ever seeing an extended cab dually,not sayin they did not make them I just can't remember seeing one. Any way it will be sweet!!

Looks really good, wait until you get some paint on that thing, it changes the attitude like night and day, and you'll get your motivation back. i always think "man this thing is ugly" when i'm doing body work.
