I just got the gauges in my truck couple weekends ago and have noticed on colder mornings my fuel pressure is around 6-7PSI at the CP3 and on warm days and at running temp it's around 9 and drops to 7-8 at WOT. is this normal for a stock fuel setup? also anyone run the air dog with adjustable regulator? I want to know what's the min/max fuel pressure you can get out of those bad boys. eventually lookin to go with a dual cp3 setup when the trucks ready to handle more power so that's why I would like the adjustable air dog so I can have the filter protection and the ability to up the FP when it comes time for it. BTW I have been watching the boost gauge too I have gotten 33PSI out of my HE341 with a stock wastegate awesome.

Yes, your fuel pressures with the factory LP are normal. I have my Airdog 100 running at 17 psi. It never drops below 15psi with my setup.

I'm running raptor 100 and smarty jr. I have raptor set to 20psi at idle and can easily pull it down to 10 with the jr maxed out. I hope that the arson III kit helps me out a bit. I'm not sure why it pulls down so much though.

My stock canister mounted LP puts out 10psi at idle and drops to 7-8 on acceleration....

Okay thanks for the info.Are those raptor pumps adjustable? I have been thinkin about one of those but I want the filitration the air dog gives me so I can get rid of my filter housing.

Raptors ARE adjustable. Best to keep the stock filer housing, it's water separator is better than the AD's, then put a 2 micron between that and the CP3.

An arson kit will do nothing to help with you pulling down your fuel pressure, the arson kit increases rail pressure...not fuel pressure.

I have the AD 100 and have had no problems (got mine when AD was busy making a name for themselves) Easy location to access the pump, easy install for me, and just so worth it.


I hold 15psi and have never seen my pump drop below 14psi in any condition. You do see the needle move though on the gauge, its doing its job.

Just for my education, can you have - too high a fuel pressure at idle, and also at WOT or cruising. Seems I have read somewhere that our systems are? more volume dependent. I am aware the 2 are interrelated, but of I am not a master of fluid dynamics (OK, I'll confess, not much else either). I realize if the pressure was high enough to cause leaks, but could it effect, say performance or life of fuel system components?

fuel pressure can be pretty high, since it has a return, the cp3 will take what it can and push the rest back to the tank. So shouldn't have probs there. But yes volume is more important so larger fuel line will always help some if you have the pump to push it. (in any case)

If you are referring to me, I'm using 3/8" i.d. stainless braided line from summit. I put together my own big line kit. It may be the gauge more-so than actual fuel pressure. I've had issues with the EV2 fp gauges in the past.
