8' FT, Change out

Hey Guy's I am getting ready to change the Bed on my truck and was wondering if there is an easy way to do it?? Also is there anything I should do under there while I have it off??

i would paint under the bed and clean up any rust excessable on the frame

It is not a hard Job. Pull fuel filler and vent hose.
Ground strap on right hand side of cab.
Light plugs and 8 bolts.I just took mine off
sanded and painted with Por 15.

So when you did it how did you pull it off? There has to be a specific procedure that is easier??I don't have much help so I have to do things smartly...

Do you have a tractor or bobcat, that makes it real easy with a couple of straps.

You might also want to check the fuel tank cap and fittings while its off. Some have had junk get in the tank because of loose fittings.

Also, set up some saw horses with 2x6's to set it on once you pull it off. Saves backs!

Yea I have a backhoe I supose I can crank it up with that? I was thinking about just using my chain fall and hoisting it up with that. Will I need to put new mounts down? It is a 95....

I think there are a couple rubber cradles in the
center yours rest on, as long as there ok pull
bolts and take it off. No need to change anything.
