79 Ford F150 Swap
Ive got a 79 Ford half ton 4wd. Dana 44 front and 9" rear. After seeing all the 79s on here lately, Im wanting to toy with mine again. Im thinking a 4bt swap in it. I dont think I need the 6bt, since it stays offroad, and I could go with low gears or probably keep my 3.73s. Its got a 4sp manual in it, with a super low granny. Could I keep this tranny, Im sure I could find the adapter needed from the ford/cummins swap site or likewise, but will it hold up to the power? How about the axles? Thanks.

I have a co-worker who just did a similar swap on a Bronco of the same vintage. His is a manual as well. Really neat swap...! I'll see if he could chime in on what his experance was.
