7 inch lift and 37s

I was wondering if anybody has had any experience or any help on this. I am considering putting a set of 7inch lift springs up front. With the propper length control arms will i be able to clear 37/13.50s on a 10 inch wheel with 4.5inch bs or -25mm offset. And if not how bad will it rub. Any input will help. Thanks

i read about a 4" lift and 37" tires. If i remember right all the info you need is in that post so if it works on a 4" it will deffinatly work on a 7" lift https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=226730

I run a 6" Tuff Country with 37x13.50 on a 9.5 rim with no issues.

I was running 37s on the same rim specs you want , with 9 in. of lift (6 & 3) and I rubbed the lower plastic valance ...not a lot , but everything else cleared.

You will be close with that rim size , but unless you do a ton of off-roading , where you`d flex out the suspension , you`ll probably be O.K.

The plastic is easy to trim with a razor knife...or take it off completely.


BTW...I ran the SAME TIRE with 3in. of lift on the STOCK rims , and they cleared everything except the control arms @ full lock...and then it was only slight rubbing that didn`t hurt anything.

Well i can probbaly handle a little rubbing. I just dont want it to be to the point of damaging something.

rubbin the plastic valance is no issue (cut it with a dremel) but the rubbing of the rear portion of the fender sucks. 6" lift with 37's did that for me. Added the 3" body and no issues but the truck didn't look right with 37's. now have 39.5's and looks good but if i get into too much flex then she will rub.

Id like to avoid the fender contact. I was hopping the 7 inch springs would take care of that

Then use the right BACKSPACING!

5" max lift on mine...NO RUB!

Your sig says you have 18" Eagle 114's. Those have 6"BS so are you using other wheels?

Yea the wheels im gonna use are the MB Gunner 8 20x10.

I think you will have problems with the 4.5" BS, especially if you have a "soft" suspension or it sags.

I run 37x13.5 on a 20x9 inch wheel with 5.8" BS on a 6" lift and my front is really close. I have not trimmed my plastic though, so that may give you enough.

Run your 18" Eagles and you won't have any problems.

You will absolutely clear 37"s and if you move your front axle about an inch farther forward you should be able to run close to a 40" tire. There is an 8" coil spring available as well. I am at 10" right now on 37x13.50x20 on a 20x10 w/4.5 bs. I have no clearance issues at all. Now if I could just find the Michelin XZL's in a 41" I will be set!

edit: Sorry, I over looked the fact that I don't have the stock front bumper...

If those are new wheels, be sure to put two or three coats of Mother's Chrome cleaner/polish before you mount them. I got those exact wheels and the chrome is REALLY SOFT, so be careful with those lug nuts and don't drop them.

Centering your axle with a good adjustable track bar will be real important too using those wheels.
