Hopefully someone can give me some info on this turbo and also tell me if it is the turbo for me. I don't tow too often I do some sledpulling and some drag racing. I would say iam pretty rough on my truck. I will be adding an mp-8 and fass 150 as well. I am just afraid that i will out grow the 62 to quickly! Maybe not. Some help would be great.

Im am thinking the same thing. I feel I will outgrow or want somthing bigger than a 62, but lets wait and here from the pro's!

This is the turbo we ordered last week, I was told that the stainless housings spool faster than the cast housings, so you might as well go with a 64 in stainless. We also opted for the 71mm exhaust, or low drive pressure wheel. Quick spool and good cooling is what I'm hoping for, this is our first aftermarket turbo. Good luck on your decision, should be worth the wait!

Well then start with a 62, and then when you DO outgrow it, slap a bigger huffer underneath it.

I have also heard of an availability problem with these housings. Like one month or so. Do You guys think I dare to run the 64 with out studs. i dont here of any 3rd gens blowing head gaskets. I do plan on leaving the wastegate set at 40psi so i would think I should be fine

I have the 62/13SS for almost 2 weeks now. Was going to get the 62/71/13 but was told it would spool too slow with my Auto. So I went with the regular Exh housing. Could have gone bigger, but she spools like the stocker, runs 3-4 PSI lower boost a 70MPH and gives me 2-3 MPG better. I can still wrap my EGT gauge, but with my stack that doesn't supprise me. Someday I will upgrade of get something for the bottom. Wish I had something bigger to compare to but I don't, no one else into Mods up here like me.
