600 or 610
My truck is a 2005 engine manufactured 7-20-04 how do i know if is is 600 or 610ft/lbs torque? Probably not any noticeable differance but would like to know. I looked on the data plate but it only shows HP not torque. Thanks in advance.

It seems to be accepted on this forum that the latest tsb reflash gives a 2004.5 truck 610 lbft of torque. My guess would be to find out to what build dates this flash applies to (I can't remember) and if your truck's build date is outside of the dates, it has 610lbft?

I e-mailed cummins directly, and the reply was they are both the same engine.. The latest reflash (037) upgrades the rated power to 610... Also, they made a point of stating that power is with the air conditioner on and engine fan engaged (gee, think they are ready for a 620 if needed )
