6 way round to 7 way blade no worky

Like it says. The trailer is a 6 way round, so I go and get a adapter, plug it in and wala ..... no lights or anything.
Ahhhh. Help.

Are the trailer's lights known to be good?

Are you only using this trailer on your truck? If so remove the 6round plug and install a 7 way to match your truck and ditch the adapter.

Usually there is a poor connection and you simply need to spread the pins slightly on one plug or the other then everything will work together properly, provided both your connectors are wired to code. While on the subject, I'll point out that there are two accepted ways to wire a six-pin connector. One way uses the center pin for brakes, the other way uses the center pin for 12V power. All other pins are the same. On many of the six-to-seven pin adapters, they offer a way to disassemble the connector and swap the wires between those two pins.

6-ways have two different configurations. The 12v and electric brake wires are switched. This doesn't sound like your problem so most likely it's a bad ground since you say nothing works.

Yeap, I had this happen before. I would check the wiring on the trailer or just install a 7way round and dump the adaptor also. Don't rewire the truck, just the trailer.
