6" lift but missing some stock pieces

I have a 6" tough country lift I just put on my truck, but I bought the truck with a leveling kit already installed, so i dont have the stock mounting hardware to my shock towers, so basically I just put the leveling kit on top of the new lift. Is there a problem with this?? Do i need to order the stock peice to put back on. Please let me know what you think. I think I have seen a couple people on here that run this way but I dont want to screw up my CV's..

thanks
nathan

CVs?

I don't understand what's missing. Are you referring to the stud ring?

yea the part that the leveling kit replaces, which is the plate with the 3 studs on it that screws up into the shock tower

thanks

It sounds like the spacer has the studs in it? If that's the case you're fine.

There are no CVs (constant velocity joint) on live axles. So nothing to screw up there.

I didnt mean the CV, i miss typed. I ment the drive shaft. Is the 6" lift and a
2" leveling kit to much for the front drive shaft? It doesnt look bad but I dont know if I should get an indexing ring to lower the angle anyway. I drove it and there is no noise or vibration or anything. Also since I have that extra
1-2 inches in the front, can a get some taller shackles to level it up. Right now it is a little nose high. I would say and 1 - 1 1/2 high in the front

thanks

Some people need the indexing ring at 5", some claim they don't at 8".

Don Thuren makes a shackle for the rear. Think you can get 1" or 1-1/2" out of it when using the factory leaf pack. Give him a call to find out for sure.

May want to invest in a trac bar, as the drop bracket supplied with the kit was for only 6".

I have noticed that the steering is a bit easyier and seems to be a little jurky also, is that a lift causeing that or maybe the track bar. That was a pain in the a to get back in there. I got a bracket with the kit but I am wondering if it needs more then that. Only saying that because a leveling kit didnt need a bracket. but i will look and see what I can come up with

thanks
