My friend has a 6.7 CTD & wants a performance boost. Is there anything available for a 08' 6.7 CTD yet. His truck is a automatic. Thanks

Not that much out that I know of, but good luck. Thats why I searched nation wide for one of the last 07' 5.9s!

He will probably have to be a tad patient. Waiting for the Smarty Jr for the 6.7 will be nice for him. A couple weekends ago, at the Diesel drags in Bakersfield, I saw quite a few 08 Duramax's going fast & making smoke. I think they have found a way to have a turbo back, 4'' straight open exhaust.

Ax in the 2007 6.7L (if you have not already) may have better luck, I really don't know of any, but don't keep up with 6.7 much, /good luck

I thought this was for 5.9 or 6.7 performance. Sorry.

I told him about Smarty & recommended that he call Bob Wagner. Hopefully they get the exhaust problems fixed, that would be sweet. His truck is a company vehicle & he wants something that he could remove easily with no trace. I told him that he should get a EGT gauge & he laughed & said "What part of it's a company truck did you not understand". Crazy old man.

It is, but not many 6.7 guys post here cause of the limited options :)

i think the edge has something for the 6.7's

Edge is the best option right now, it gives decent power and allows you to remove certain equipment.

If the Smarty S67 ever comes out, I'd jump on that, but it has been said on another forum by a Smarty authority that they are waiting for Dodge to stop releasing new flashes. It could be a while.

I'll tell him about the Edge, he wants to do something soon & probably won't want to wait on Smarty. I'm probably gonna have to order for him anyways & I don't seem to be on Bob's good side since I got in on the Adrenaline beta testing. I'm a hp junky & if I find something new, I try it & give honest feedback.....sometimes too honest I guess.

id be extremely afraid of doing anything chip wise to a 6.7 with all the trouble ive had out of my cab/chassis... been in the dealer 6 or 7 times with 60'000 on it now. check engine light, loss of power. and constipated dpf

I have used the Juice wam on quite a few of the 08s with good success. It will go into regen a little more often, but other than that they work well. I have them in stock too.[guitar]

If I had the 6.7, I'd get a set of Flux injectors and an MP-8. Then I'd wait for the smarty to come out. If you're concerned about warranty issues, do the injectors only and skip the mp-8.

He could always upgrade to a 5.9L[laugh] jk

Will the 6.7L still have a warranty w/ Flux injectors? The stock exhaust system will function correctly?

Warranty, I would probably say no. I would expect it to go into emmision regen quite a bit. I would think they would eventually plug the DPF.

oh yea. PPE, Quadzilla, and EFI Live can all fix the DPF problems on chebies and allow for a straight exhaust. Suncoast can build a trans to back it up. darn chevy tuning is ALOT easier than cummins tuning!

In keeping with rules regarding the deletion of emission devices, I refrained from mentioning a website that sells a DPFDELETE for the 6.7s. I've also read that the 50hp injectors for the 6.7s burn clean enough to avoid harm to the DPF. I don't think many dealerships could actually tell the difference between a set of stock injectors vs. aftermarket. The smarty also holds the "undectable claim". I just put an SCT on a buddies ford 6.4 and it runs great. It beat an 05 Dmax with the PPE. On extreme, it went into regen more often, but on the performance setting it runs normally.
