6.7 Cab and Chassis Test drive
Well I went by the dealer here and drove one of the cab and chassis. Single cab ST 4X4 6spd (he said they wouldn't have the auto for a few months). Looks like there is a sensor between the cat and the muffler (which is smaller than mine) and there is another sensor on the air box. Driving wise it rides as smooth or smoother than my truck even though it was single cab and no weight on the back. It seems to idle at 800rpm and there is a new light on start up which looks like it might be for something electrical. Power wise it feels like it takes off like most of them do at 1700 rpm. There isn't night and day difference between the turbos on lag but it's still better. It is quieter.

It was one of the short wheel bases. And who knows about the autos. That did feel like one hauling sucker. Too bad even if I had the money I wouldn't buy it. If I buy a new one and I keep my 04 (it will be my main hauler) I would get a SRW Single cab so I can get parked easier at the college. That also depends on me doing really good at some ropings. I may still find me a single cab 2500 or (dare I say it) 99-02 F-250. I probably will never own a truck with the G-56 manual, unless I have to have my tranny replaced in my 04 and they have a hard time finding a NV.

What it is on the short wheel base is a regular length frame for a long bed single cab, but the long wheel base is equivilent to a quad cab long bed I think. Or somewhere around there. That would be one hot rod of a truck a shortbed single cab Cummins. Might have better traction since the engine would almost be on the rear wheels.

I HATE the clutter. It will even be hard to navigate your hand/arm down there to even do anything.
My WIFES Toyota Corolla has less clutter and more room than this setup will have. That is sad...
Thanks EPA! You Bas%$#@s!
