6.7 in 2001

Has anybody ever put a 6.7 in a old body style.Is it worth it.

I have been thinking about a 6.7 in a 1st GEN with a P pump though.

I would think doing the reverse would be best. Replacing a 12v or 24v with a 6.7 thats just not right.

I've never seen it, but someone will probably do it eventually. I'd rather stick with a 12V or 24V though

I see what you mean,but the 6.7 is a 24 valve.

Brother, I'm way ahead of you. Thats why I want to do a P pump 6.7 in a 1st GEN. The 1st were all 12V. I have heard that the 24 valve's had head cracking problems. Is this true? If it is, then its a simple fix. Just do a CR head. Now I'm looking up parts... Dammit man !!!LOL

CR's (and later VP's) have a nasty habit of dropping valve seats, so its not a slam dunk. That, and CR heads have interference issues with p-pumps.

there is a 6.7L being built with a p-pump in Indiana the guy is working on putting it in the truck last i talked to him over the weekend. Should be a good combination....
