5k Gsk

What are your opinions on a 5K GSK? I haven't heard many people talk about them, curious if they change idle/driveability etc...

I've heard they can be ugly as far as daily drivers, that's why I ask. I'm tired of doing things three times, if they are okay for daily driving then I will go with them instead of the 4K GSK.

For a daily driver, 4k's would probably be better anyway. Can't see how much you'd need more than 4k on the street. Without a cam and/or headwork, your top end won't be all that great anway.

I run CDS 5ks in my daily driver and its all about how you set them up. I put them in at 3 clicks and it was nice and smooth. Would pull 3500rpms nicely. As they break-in you just tighten them one click at a time till you can pull the RPMs you want. May take 2k miles or so to get them broken in all the way.

Ive heard you can hit them several times with a rubber mallet to break them in too but I didnt try it.

That's what I heard. Is there any difference in fueling throughout the power band between 4k and 5k springs? or does it just help up top?
