4x4 frame
i found a late 70's to early 80's 4x4 frame, its a dually with a flat bed thats got a junk cab which means it has a 60 front and 70 rear, if i can get it cheap enough i am thinking of swapping my body and engine into it, what is the biggest thing im gonna run into, if the truck is a 4-speed manual, will i have to get a bellhousing for the cummins specific pattern or can i use the stock one, i am gonna let the guy keep the cab, bed, and motor. if need be, i will just use my 2wd 727 until i get enough time to put the t-case and driveshaft and stuff in.

The only thing that I can think of is if it is a Cab & Chassis frame it might be longer. You might want to do a little cyber space digging and see if you can find any chassis specs on that year truck and compare them to yours. Depending on what you come up with it might just be a matter of hacking a little off of the rear frame rails or it just might be a really involved project. Hope this helps out. Ryan
