4WD light out in dash but 4WD still works
i have the on the floor shifter in my 06 and when i shift into 4wd high or low my 4wd light in the dash does not come on. it stopped working last winter and i am just wondering wat could be the problem...any ideas?

well give me a couple weeks and i will find out...i gotta put a set of heater treater doors in my truck so i think most if not all the dash will be out and i will check it then

Before pulling the cluster panel off check the bulb by pushing in the trip meter with the ignition switch off then turn on the ignition and let go of the trip meter all lights should light up if the 4 wheel light does not then the bulb is burned out if it lights up then you probably have a faulty sensor in the transfer case. Easy fix just remove the sensor and replace.

In my 06 it is located on top of the transfer case on the drivers side easy to get to. Several wires going into it that unplug which have a little catch you have to release. Check the continuity with a meter after you unplug the wires. I got my sensor at a local dealer can't remember the cost but not too much but parts are always more from a dealer.
