48RE Vent Plug - is this right?
hello everyone,
I recently removed my tranny since 4 of the 6 the torque converter's welded nuts had broken off.
Upon removal of the transmission, I noticed something weird about the vent plug, looks to be melted. Can anyone confirm my assumption and state the part number / where I can buy one?
Thanks
Scott

its the vent plug. can get one from the dealer. they are cheap. If I wasn't using the one I have in the shop for my fuel tank I would just mail it to you. the one pictured is melted. change it out and re-route the hose (even if you have to replace with a longer one) to a location that is not near the exhaust or motor to help prevent it happening again in the future
