48re might be slipping? i cant tell

i dont know if this is a transmission problem, electronics or what, but i will explain whats going on with it nonetheless.

i hop in my 06 5.9 ctd on 35x12.50s, fire it up, look in the mirror and think "dang i look good" and take off in my usual bat out of hell manor. i get to 50 mph and the trucks shifts into overdrive and locks up. I ease into the throttle and feel the turbo spool, and then it happens. it feels like the back tires are digging in getting ready to spin (no way this could happen, its a heavy truck and less than 500 hp) i do not think its the trans slipping because it never changes rpm, it just lunges around and and makes my dash jump until i back off the throttle. to describe the experience best would be to say its like doing a burnout minus the tires squealing and actually breaking loose. is my overdrive getting ready to die? or is it something entirely different? or maybe it really is badass enough to lose traction at 45 to 50 mph (though id doubt a bhaf and a superchips would be enough)
