48RE hard-parts questions . . . . .
What is it about the 48RE planetary gearsets, etc that sets it apart from the earlier trans (727, A518, 46RH, etc)?
Is it that they run the 22* cut gear teeth and the earlier run the 15*?
More specifically, are they interchangeable with the earlier (w/associated sun & annulus gears)?
