48RE filter part number

I have the factory manual on CD but don't see a place for part numbers. I wanted to find the part number for the auto tranny filter. Anyone know where to find it? Any cheaper to order online? Thanks Lads.

Sorry, I don't have that part number. Im sure somebody else can provide it for you. But that is one item that seems to be reasonably priced at the dealer. I just get mine at the local dealer along with the ATF +4 tranny fluid.

Fuel filters and oil filters are another story. I get those online at Geno's Garage or the local Cummins place.

Theyre the same for any 45,46,47re, 618 etc. Napa # is 1-8565. Thats what I run.

Thanks Edge

I will check it out. I was expecting it to be a tad more.

The Napa part # ATP 19756 appears to be the same thing, but $6 cheaper. Also, they recommend you reuse the gasket that comes with the truck, so you could buy "filter only" if it saved you any money.
