48-Re Trans Check engine light
Was wondering if anyone is having any issues with there Billet Built 48-RE Trans, as Far as any Gear Hunting issue from 2---3 Gear , Any check Engine Codes Being triggered since the install of Aftermarket 48-Re, As I have herd its been mainly an issue with the 48-Re Trans and not the 47-Re Automatics.

I have about 5k on my DTT....i do have the 2-3 Gear Hunt issue....taking it in today to change out a spring that will hopefully fix the issue.....it's supposed to raise the shift point in which 3rd engages (to better seperate it from 2nd).....i triggererd a code 1 time (OD Solenoid)....cleared it and it hasnt been back for a couple of thousand miles...so dont perceive as an issue....the 2-3 issue is annoying, but apparently it is fixable and common on 05+ with the elec throttle...couldn't imagine driving w/o an aftermarket trans anymore....
Couple of other comments, i don't experience any turbo bark (that i notice), and i lost a tad just off the line as the tighter converter makes is just a bit harder to spool the turbo...

I have herd that the Aftermarket 48-RE Billit Builds with aftermarket TC & VB are having operating issues VS the 47-RE Builds.
The 48-RE aftermarket Builds are experincing Setting off Check Engine Lights , and Shifting issues mostly from 2-3 Gears ( Hunting) I believe this issue is not vendor specific.
Was curious if Any vendor has resolved the issue, you mentioned a better Spring , What about this Smart Controller device that DTT Markets do you have this installed in your Trans, Will it perhaps help resolve any of this issues. Anyhow thanks for the info and hope you get it resolved.

I here ya that would really Bumm me out too, Do you have that new Shift Enhancer installed that DTT Makes and Sales seems like they would have sold you on that unit as it is supposed to Resolve A lot of the Issues there seems to be with Modded 48-RE Trans, I was going With a Goerend Trans and had been waiting for a while for the vendor that supplies them Billet Intermidiate Shafts, and well come to find out the Vendor was un-able to produce the Shafts, So I have decided to just go with the Stock Intermidiate and Billet on Input / output, Dave is a Honest Person and Told me the issues they were experincing, he had like 4 out of a 100 Billet Shaft Intermidiate Break" They were all extreme Towing vehicles. I do not Tow strictly daily Driver for Fun and may go to our Joke of a Local Drags Here on the Big Island, And Only Launch in 2-Wheel Boosted. ( I Kie my Truck)
