I buy them at NAPA, last time was $148.
They have the same manufacturer's name on them as the stocker.

Just so you know there are often two listings for the TPS. If you get quoted around $60.00 for it they are looking at the wrong one!

Are the TPS's different for the 94/95 and 96/97/98 trucks? After comparing them side by side, there is a little difference in the point of start of rotation.

A few years back, you could get these at cummins for about $90, I think they want well over 200 now. I don't want to know what Dodge wants for them.

I have had the brake light switch mimic it before. I've seen guys on the TDR trying to bypass/replace the TPS with an adjustable potentiometer- and leaving it fixed when they get the setting how they want it.

My tps went out in my '96 at 135k miles, ruining a long planned cross country trip, and has been working fine since to 280k miles. My '95, on the other hand, is acting a little weird. Not entirely convinced its the tps though.

To answer your question, yes, mine was somewhat intermittent. It only worked when I took it to the dealer/AAMCO( ) to have it diagnosed. Would have saved a lot of money had I consulted the TDR first.(was hard to do on the road though)

Sorry, no p/n. I just give them the vehicle info and they have had no problem.
I'll bet $208 is the list price, all you have to do with NAPA is open an account and your prices drop considerably.

Lots of times the counter guys are just inexperenced or down right lazy.
Called my local NAPA had the number in 30 seconds, three in stock p/n 2-19233
Mind you this is for a '95, I think, but am not positive, that they are all the same.
