47RH into '97 manual truck
I'm looking into putting an auto into my '97 that currently has an NV4500. I am leaning towards a 47RH as it "appears" to be a slightly easier install.
I want to set the trans up to be fully automatic (no manual VB or manual switch to select OD) but be able to also manually lock the convertor and disengage OD. What other than the trans do I need to source for the swap?
I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to get the computer, column, etc from a '94/95 donor or if the computer will even work with my '97. (I'm thinking cruise control) Or if I should just figure out a floor shift and pick up the pressure switches I've seen people use to control OD and lock up.
Also, is there an input shaft available for my transfer case to allow the RH to bolt up?

Use the 23 spline input for the TC, I bet there are PLENTY of guys here who would swap you for your 29 spline, you have to make sure it is the correct 241 I "think" the DLD is diff. than the DHD. Someone who has torn up more TCs than I can jump in here.
Where are you from? My Nephew just switched from a RE in his 97 to a NV, might be able to swap all the bits with you so both are correct, he is in central Illinois.
Check in the High performance section, a couple of years ago, user Dieselman2300 swapped a RH into his NV4500 97 and did a pretty decent writeup
