Having issues with my 1999 2500 47re auto tranny. I read through lots of posts, but can't find one that directly relates to my trouble.

The tranny hunts between 1st and 2nd at low throttle.
Then from 2nd to 3rd sometimes it shifts and sometimes it doesn't. Seems to help if shifter is moved to N and back into D.

I changed the fluid/filter and adjusted front and rear bands. Scanned for codes and found none. Cleaned the battery posts and connectors. Changed the output speed sensor on tail of tranny as this went out several years ago when truck wouldn't shift out of first. None of these has improved the situation.

Need some direction on where to look next.
