47RE OD shifting delay
I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500HD w/Cummins Turbo Diesel and the 47RE automatic transmission. I am experiencing a delay in shifting from 3rd to OD and also the Torque Converter lockup. 1st, 2nd and 3rd all shift fine (they are hydraulic shifts), but there is a long delay for the OD (electronic shift) shift to occur. I took it to a transmission shop and they forced the OD and TCC at the transmission and it worked correctly. They applied a separate ground signal to the transmission. They also hooked up a system scanner to the computer. It showed the ECM commanding the OD and TCC, but the transmission did not respond right away. Anyone having or had this type of problem?

ya when its cold out
not anymore that I know of as i've replaced the tranny very recently
once it warmed the fluid then it'd shift as normal, but there for ahwile I could go 5 miles down the road before it finally went to OD
never did figure out why
maybe its time to put in a TC lockup switch, I wanna do mine anyways as I plan to put on an exhaust brake
