I wonted one when they first came out. Then I started talking to some people. They are awesome boxes. Make huge power, but they are pump eaters.

I have one and love it! But, you will have to upgrade your valvetrain to handle the increased RPM.

hey jetpilot does this box realy add about 180 to 200 horse to a vp 44 truck. also are the upgrades just valve springs and making sure your fuel supply is up to par. i am suprised that edge or somebody else has not made a box like this yet, anyway it is nice to see some new technology for the 2nd gen trucks

Guys I've talked with Craig Severson a few times about his truck (24V 3500 pulling truck).

He LOVE'S the redline box, but he says you either have to be ALL the way in it or all the way OUT of it. If you start to ease into it any it just bucks, hops, and jumps all over the place. Basically he only turns it on on the pulling track. But it is just a pulling truck.....now.

Just adding somethings I've heard.

The redline has an adjustable rpm limiter from 3400-4000 in 100 rpm increments. The box normally adds between 10-20 HP over a drag comp. On my truck I went from 588-610 HP when I changed from the drag comp to the redline, but I also changed out the head so its not a real good test. HP does drop on our trucks above 3400 though..... My truck does 610 @ 3400 rpm but it is down to 510 @ 4000 rpm.

As mentioned above the valvetrain needs to be built to handle the increased rpm. Good springs and retainers are a must! But be careful as not all of the aftermarket springs available are equal,. In fact we tested some that were actaully lower seat pressure than stock springs!
