4" straight pipe exhaust too quiet!

I just put a 4" straight pipe exhaust on my 04.5 (no cat or muffler), stock 4" pipe with a MBRP 5" tip (extended 2-3" past stock exhaust tip). The exhaust is way too quiet for my liking. Any way to make this thing any louder (moving the mbrp tip, etc.)? Is a straight pipe 5" any louder without the drone? I don't want to go to stacks right now..the stock bed is small enought for me. I got a little spoiled running straight out the turbo while I was waiting to get the straight pipe in..lol.

Dang, man, I have a turbo back 4, and it is loud as heck! Drive with your windows down... I don't know, must be the turbo I have on mine.

The 5 inch will be a little louder, but deeper.

Hood stack it.

Tried with the slider open and windows down..still not impressed. I think the 5" tip may be muffling the sound, I am going to try removing it next (it was on the straight pipe when I bought it). The turbo sound is really muffled too..even after taking the silencer ring out it sounds stock. The hood stack would be my choice if it weren't for the **** laws in PA

the tip acts as a megaphone. remove the tip and I bet it is quieter. 5" it and get the drone the rest of us have! LOL. Mine is bearable but I also have 8" miterd stacks too.

Heck, just do a turn down underneath your truck, just after the cab. That'll fix it.

Turn down is loud as **** in the cab, but not outside, it just sounds like you have a hole in your exhaust. The 4" is louder in a higher pitch I have a 6"x24" magnaflow tip and my exhaust is louder than my brothers 5" exhaust w/ 7" tip but his is much deeper tone and throaty.
