4 inch exhaust

My friendly NAPA dealer checked his books and found out that they carry Dyno-max systems. Got me the 4 inch package which loked real good. HAd band clamps for the joints and straight clamps for the hangers. System installed real easy except for the one muffler bracket that Dodge designed with an offset. Pain to get that one in. On the road, did exactly what I needed, dropped my towing temps about 100 degrees.
Only one problem - real loud on my tired old ears. Also had a slight drone at 2200. My NAPA dealer got to the company and they swapped me out for their "quiet tone" muffler for the cost difference. Considerable bigger, much quieter, less drone and a deeper "big truck" tone. Much happier now, and real satisfied with the company.

Just installed my DPP 4" a few days ago- good fit and good quality. In the instructions it says that the drone can come from the exhaust touching the tranny crossmember, and that you should take extra care to provide enough space for engine torqueover.
Got the system from wildcatdiesel.

Just my 2c

Re:4 inch exhaust

I cant complain to much about my jaradine system. It was for ext cabs and or long beds though so I had to cut off about 4" from one of the strait sections. Other then that it seems to be working. No band clamps though.

Re:4 inch exhaust

gman77,
Can't give you an exact cost as I get garage discount. Haven't seen the bill for the muffler swap yet.
