4.10 Gears

Is going to 4.10 gears a good idea(I have 3.73 now) with the 35 inch Toyo M/T tires I have. It seems like I am taching quite low especially with the low stall Goerend torque converter I have. I am pretty sure 4.56 gears would be overkill, I wish they made a 4.25-4.35 gear because I think that would be perfect. What are others doing? Thanks, Tom J.

4.10s with a 35" tire basically evens the ratio back out to a 3.73. The 4.10s should give you some lowend power back.

I would put the 4.10 in. I have 37" tires and I am going to install 4.56 which will put my final drive ratio about 4.00

I had 35's with 4.10's. Not to bad but towing heavy (16-18k trailer) I ended up back with a 33" before the dually. I agree a 4.30 gear would be perfect. I would go with the 4.10 if I was you as a 4.56 is over kill with 35's. good luck...

I had 4.56 in my '04 with 37's. The only thing I didn't like is I would redline at 100mph. With the 4.10's & 37's in my current truck I have better top end speed.

I save those speeds for my race car!! I dont ever plan on drag racing either. I think the fastest my truck my truck has seen is about 80
