3rd gen wheels on 2nd gen truck

New here and was wondering if anyone has put 3rd gen wheels on a 2nd gen truck? Is there any problems with back spacing or what? If anybody has pictures that would be great. I'm trying to find some to put on my 2002 Dodge 2500 diesel.

Thanks,
Tom

yes. Running the aluminum ones on mine. Steel ones have issue with the center cap (thickness of the hub area).

No issues if you run the alloys. Though, that said, some people don't like that they sit about 1/2" narrower track wise than the originals, but.. no rubbing.

How big are those tires you have on? I'm looking to put on some Toyo Open Country M/T's 285/75/17 (34"). Do the aluminum ones have a factory clear coat on them? If theres no clear coat then they are a lot more maintenance right?

265*75/17. It's in the sig.

The alloys come in a few flavors.

Mine are painted/machined aluminum, there's also polished. I don't believe the polished ones are coated.

Those look REALLY good on your truck! Hows your stance? Does it seem narrow compared to the stock wheels? Thats good to know that theres no rubbing because I'm looking to put 285/75/17 Toyo's Open Country M/T's on.

Thanks
