3rd Gen Questions

I'm looking for a 3rd gen 3500 4x4 and was wondering, after guages, which is the best power module/chip/programmer to run to get decent mileage and the best horsepower. The truck is going to be a DD with a 4" lift and 35" tires. i'm also planning on a cold air intake and 4" straight exhaust from turbo back. its not going to be a drag truck or sled puller, just something to maybe play in the mud with and to jack with people on the interstate

For a 3rd gen, it is very tough to beat the smarty... and there are close to 300 folks here that would agree... (see SAC club thread)

the Smarty is the type where you are able to set it on one setting and then if i want to change it i have to plug it back in and download another tune right.

Generally speaking.........yes. But now they have the POD option if you feel like changing the settings on the fly.

I just leave my older version alone, have it on the highest setting, and adjust the power with my right foot.
