I saw it pull at Springfield, MO. Quite impressive considering the few small problems John was having. John is also a VERY nice guy, I recommend him to everyone in the Kansas/Missouri area.

Whitesport,
Are you going to pull your truck ever?

I tried at Springfield, and all I discovered is that it's gonna need a Dual Disc Clutch. I plan on pulling as soon as I can afford the DD clutch.

Man, what a joke that was. The truck was basically in limp mode. The programmer has roached the way the thing runs. Cant seem to get it back on track. Never could get it to dyno over 480 HP that week. ECM reflashes are under way and hopefully it will come back and play nice again.

I reckon the Duramax guys weren't too happy about that...

John got a first place this weekend at a local pull! :) Owensville MO.

He was actually pulling for exibition only and was 7 feet in front of that Gullet fella who exploded the rear end.

Because he did exibition, he actually got no real place in the standings. Good job none the less though

Thats two first places back to back.

I think the ECM is still quirky! Maybe this week he will have it fixed up.

Owensville is right in my backyard! John, why didn't you tell me you were going to that one. I would have been there to help out/watch... Be sure to let me know if you're going to any other pulls in Missouri.

I pulled my truck a couple of weeks ago exhibition just to see how it'd run and everyting went well. Had 2 pulls this past weekend and got 1st at both of those, there were only five trucks in the classes, 4 Dodges and 1 Furd. Hey Graphite were you the one up at Johns getting a pump worked on when I was there putting the lock up switch in and we went for a test drive? My truck is the black dually.

I'm sure I will, this 8500 wt. that we run in the diesel classes around here is so much smoother than my old gasser pulling rig, we only run 6200 in those and the truck don't stay glued to the ground near as well. I need to get a different turbo but just can't decide which one to go with.

At the least a b104/htb2

Just out of curiosity, I've never been to one of these pulls, does anyone pull with automatics? I live in Texas and there will be a pull the 2nd and 3rd of July, but I won't be able to make it I don't think. The sledpulling really interests me and I would like to try and get involved.

Yeah, plenty pull with autos.

Don M

John is pulling with a DTT auto and has been for the last two seasons. Works better than I ever thought it would. Eventually it will be a big plus over the stick trucks.

I pull with an automatic in the diesel truck, DTT by Floor It, works slick, start out in 1st, shift to second, build some speed then shift to third, spun out in 3rd at 335 ft.

I guess you got your pump all fixed up??

I'd like to take it to 1/4 mile track one of these days and see what it would do. The day we went for a ride I was running on 5/5 on the tst, I've since started running around in 6/6 since I have the dtt I feel a little more confident. I really need to get a different turbo, this little stocker won't handle much more. After John gets back from IRP we're gonna address the turbo issue. He's got some good ideas, we just gotta get together and see what direction to go.

pump on and working fantastic.... just need to win the lottery to put some more upgrades on.

I can't believe that was only 5x5.... John will get some kind of turbo to work on your truck. Are you going to pull any of the NWMTPA pulls?? http://www.nwmtpa.com/schedule.htm

That white truck I was driving(my little brothers) is really starting to come around.... full pull last weekend....

I know what you mean about winning the lottery, this hobby does get expensive. I'd like to make a couple of those but we're pretty busy with pullls down this way on most weekends. Congrats to your brother, both of you guys trucks are pretty sharp. Hasn't the pullin bug bit you yet??? If it ever does it starts a virus that there's no known cure for, [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] .

thanks for the compliments.... you need to post a front shot of your truck because that is one mean beast when it's coming at you.

the pullin' bug has bit but I have a good vaccine... limited budget. I can live vicariously through my brother for now.

Are you going to pull with John later this summer or do you know yet??

I hope to make a pull or two with John, he'll stomp us in the dust, but I'll have to see how our schedule works out.

I appreciate all the feedback everyone. that makes me feel a little better, but the main thing is that my tranny is still stock. That is what worries me. Anyway thanks again.
