I just did 3rd gen and I am a very "happy camper".

I think the 3rd gen is better than the link, it's a complete different system

SS 3rd gen bracket with SS 3rd gen Adj TB. No more joints on TB...now its a bolt thru on each TB end. Thats gottabe better but cost more. I think its worth it.

When you say rebuild the steering, are you referring to the trackbar? On the track bar, a 3rd gen conversion or a thuren bar would be better than using a luke's link. However, if your problem is tie rod ends, the luke's links would be a good solution.

I have the 3rd gen & highly recommend it, although my brother has the Lukes Link. It really impressed me how tight the steering has been for a year now, still no play in the link. I think that both are great upgrades.

I love the Lukes Link, I've had mine on my truck for 45K and no problems yet. For the price, it cannot be touched.

I had the Luke's Links on my 2nd gen track bar and was quite happy. I now have the 3rd gen setup which is a permanent fix for the poor factory design. Many people will disagree with what I am about to say but I would not do the Thuren replacement. That design has the ability to do what the factory design does, the only difference is you get a mono ball instead of a tie rod end, it will still allow side to side movement. Eric
