Re:3M removal

I have had some success using strong fishline to "saw" back and forth around things put on with 3m. The residue left can be removed with various cleaners, but a little rubbing with WD40 or the like works pretty good. Post some pics of the finished job. I'm thinking about doing the same thing if the CFO cuts loose with the coin.

I took a couple of digital images but don't know how to post them here. I used to link them to Yahoo's GeoCity but the last time I tried that they would allow the images to be used that way. They instituted some sort of block. Is there another site to use for "storage" of the images?

You can create an album of pics here, then link to them there.
"Members Photo's" above on the main graphic.
(only problem, you can't delete them once they are there, you have to ask an Admin to delete them for you, but they are more than happy to oblige)

Re:3M removal

A few users have noticed that webshots isn't viewable from corporate locations (me being one of them, work LAN has it blocked for some reason), and apparantly not from here either, as there is a nice red x at the bottom of Garys post.

commando

Soften things up with the hot air gun, then gently pull it away from the body while still applying hot air. Took about 1 min. per side to get them off. Pete

Re:3M removal

I'm at home now, and there's still a red x there.
Tried going directly to the pic and it said I wasn't authorized.

I don't know why corporate picked on Webshots, there are few places we can't go, any music downloading and Yahoo Games are some.

Back to topic ;D

Commando, are you planning on relocating the Cummins' badges?

I think I have the same flares, my tire and wheel combo stuck out almost 3 inches, and now most of it is covered, 1/2 to 1" still sticks out, but looks just right IMHO.

It's webshots

It seems these days most companies that allow you to host picturers on their server no longer allow you to link them to show from other websites. If you can't find a server that llows linking of images, check with your ISP to see if you get server space with them.

That's not a Webshots problem, it's a security-related one used by some businesses to discourage unauthorized "websurfing" on company time - I'd bet your system administrator - if you're authorized - could upgrade your system access level to open photos on Webshots...

It's blocked where I work for a couple of reasons: One is to avoid having spy-ware installed on the PCs. Another is to prevent people from running those random photo screen-savers and sucking up bandwidth and potentially displaying something offensive.

Re:3M removal

Hey Gary, I see a red X in the box and I'm at home on my DSL. ???

Edit:
I "cut & pasted" the "properties" address, it opened the webshots photo, now I can see the picture in your post instead of the box with an X. ???

Re-Edit:
I exited the forums, went back to this post, now I see the box with an X again........I'm soooo confused........

Re:3M removal

How do those flares attach? Do you have to drill any holes, they look great.
