My truck is getting about 10mpg in the city now if I am lucky and about the same mileage as with the stock injectors on the hwy after installing bosch 370 marine injectors. Is this common, any other members have this happen to them and what did you do?

I haven't heard as many complaints on reduced mileage from 370 injectors as from big bore DV (delivery valves).

How much tming advance? The 370 spray angle and stock pistons doesn't put the fuel into the bowl very well and advanced timing makes it worse. Bound to affect fuel economy

I haven't touched my timing at all. should that be my next concern? and what would I want to set it at to optimize fuel economy and power. I just thought about it today, and I am burning up an 1/8 tank in two days when all I drive is 16 miles round trip. so an 1/8th tank to go 32 miles, thats bad

I had a set of PDR370s in my truck and didnt care for them at all. Switched to a set of New Era 370s which have been EDMed to have the correct spray pattern. I liked them much better. I say either switch to a better set of sticks or put the stock ones back in and get some delivery valves. U can get plenty of fuel with just delivery valves and stock injectors. More than your stock turbo and trans can handle.

Well my tranny already can't handle what i have, I have to drive very carefully right now. But will the correct spray pattern really change my fuel economy that much? I have heard awesome things about those new era 370s, what do they run like 500?

IIRC mine were $480. I didnt send my cores in though. If you send your cores in you can get them for $380.

Even though you put in the 370's you may still be loosing enough fuel when you take off to hurt your mileage. Even though you don't make a huge cloud of smoke when you leave, any smoke will hurt your mileage. Another thing is the tires, the bigger you go the more it takes to roll them, and do you have your speedo recalibrated? And finally some EDMed injectors would be better i would imagine.

I have 370's a #4 plate and 33.5" tall tires and my fuel mileage is still decent around town - 16 to 18mpg (in town) and a constant 22-23mpg highway. Now I do run with the valet on which those numbers reflect. With the valet off and my foot in it, the in town mileage is much worse - say 10-13mpg.

When I was on 35's and 3" of lift I got 20's easy. Now with the 40's I've seen 17mpg highway and probably 14-15 town. All on marine 370's.

I have 370s in a four wheel drive with 34 inch tires, and I get about 20 on the highway. I get about 15 around town.

I get in the 15's in town with hard driving. 16's normal in town. On the hwy 18-19 hard driving. Low 20's with cruise set at 70-72 mph.

Interesting.....I was told by a very knowledgable source that using 370 Marine injectors and ULSD would have this very effect. The fuel is too thin and the holes are too big...Apparantely he was right.

Did you just put the 370s in?

Anyoone else had this problem.

I typically average ~17MPG hand calculated, running empty.

Problem is, only time I drive my truck any distance is pulling my 11K toy hauler, and mileage drops to ~10. I run it around town on the weekends, but seldom more than 20-30 miles at a time. And usually with fuel left over from the last desert trip, so I have no idea what ULSD is doing to my mileage.
