37" or 35" with 4.56 gears
I currently have 35" tires and 3.73 gears with the 48re. I would like to go to 4.10 gearing because of towing my boat in the summer. I was also maybe considering going up to some bigger rims with 37" tires.
So here is my dilemma, do I upgrade to 4.10 or 4.56 gears for now with running only 35" tires?
Anyone ou there running 35" tires with the 4.56's? I'm worried this may be a little too tall if i don't go to the 37" tires.
Any input is greatly apopreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks for all the input everyone.
I found a decently priced set of gears at justdifferentials.com, and there they note that they only have a 4.63 ratio rear gears for the 11.5" axle.
They say that you can run that in a 4x4 with 4.56 front gears... is that right?
Can you run different ratios front and back up to a point?
I can figure this out mathematically, but has anyone done this?
Thanks a lot.

Running even slightly different ratios between front and rear and you will end up with catastrophic kablooie the very first time you put it in 4WD. It would be like putting 285 tires up front and 315's in the rear.

That's exactly what i thought, but is says that right on their website.
Check the 11.5 AAM 4.63 selection.
I thought about it long enough,
I think 4.10's it is!!
