35' On A 3rd Gen

I have a 2nd gen with BFG 35' mud terrains and extended control arms so i dont rub. Im about to buy a 3rd gen but swap out my good BFG's, my q is how bad will they rub until i get longer control arms.

Unless you are runnin 17s on our 2nd gen they wont work cause you have to run 17s on the 3rd gens.

Then again maybe the 2nd gens have 17s, I dont know.

There should be no clearance issues if you run the right wheels, no need for longer arms.

Wait until you get home. The 35's will be alright and at the very worst a 2" leveling kit may be needed depending on the wheel you get. The problem is some 17" aftermarket wheels will not clear the brake calipers. I would hate for you to buy some rims and have tires mounted only to find out the wheels won't work.

I run 35" Pro comp extreme all terrains on a bone stock suspension, and the control arm rub is not that noticeable. I may do a 2" performance suspsension on it anyway, just because I want to, but who knows at this point. I wouldn't worry too much about the rub on the control arms... Its only when you are turned at FULL lock, and I am only doing that when I am turning a U turn, which is usually slow.

I run 35" Hankook MT's, and I only get rub at full lock....and even then it is just the sidewall treads.....the rub is so unnoticeable that the only reason i know it rubs is by lookin at the control arm....there is a semi-clean spot on them....I run stock 17" steel rims

I'm with you bro... I can feel it a little in the steering wheel, but I RARELY have to turn to full lock anyway.
IMHO, its worth the rub for te meat on those 35's.
