BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2, Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ Traditional Radial, Pro Comp Xtreme All Terrain Tires, just a few off the top of my head I know your looking for E rating not all of these have them in that size the procomp xtreme at's have heard good things about them. pending what your do mostly with the truck if its light trails or gravel and not alot of mud and mostly freeway or towing. there alot of mixed reviews out there. you may want to post on the towing thread if that is a big factor. I'm running toyo MT's and have been impressed I dont tow alot. more street but also alot of BLM road and log truck road driving in the mountains. they are not really that loud on the road. what ever tire I have used the biggest thing for me to get the most life I always rotate them at 3k miles this is big due to the heavy foot. hope this helps in some way.

i had a set of x treme allterrains and took them back. sidewalls felt thin, i couldnt put enough air in them to get rid of it. felt like i had a flat tire or 4 wheel steering, so i got a set of bfg allterrains and im happy with them.

check these, not super aggresive, so they will last longer, I run them on my truck and it gets muddy often..... no troubles yet.

Like you said look at D's, cheaper and more choices. My next set will be 315/70/17 Dunlop Rover M/T maxx tractions. Somewhat aggresive, very good in the snow from what I hear but soft, might kill them quickly.

They are not real cheap but I run the Goodyears MT/R's and love them. They last a long time and do great in the mud.

I just put a set of GoodYear Wrangler Dura Tracs on my truck about a 1000 miles ago and I cant say enough good things about them, BY FAR THE BEST TIRE I HAVE EVER OWNED. I cant say much for tread wear (only been on for three weeks) but everything else is unbelivable. They are quiet on the road, and they perform great off road and in snow. As long as they keep making them I'll always have a set on my truck

I love my Pro Comp Extreme A/T's. I read the above on them but have heard nothing but positive comments from others.
Very aggressive tread.... clear much better than previous BFG A/T's.... at 15,000 miles, wear is good and even.... traction on wet roads is excellent....love that they are directional tires.

Why not try to the Nitto trail grapplers? They make a 285, 295, and 35 all in E ratings. They're relatively new.
