305 Nittos On Stock 2500 w/ 5th Wheel RV
I really love the look of the 305 Nittos Terra Grapplers and want to get some for my Ram to use with the stock rims. I wanted to know about the tires rubbing...specifically when I have a load in the bed. We have a 5th wheel RV that has a hitch weight of 1775 lbs. Do you think I can use these tires? I've thought about installing air bags to help out the rear springs. A local tire store has the 305s for $259 each.
Thanks!

I don't see why you couldn't. I have those tires on stock rims on my '07 qc long bed 4x4 CTD 2500, and with a bed full of tool box, coolers, a generator, fuel, camping gear, and a 700lb atv, plus a tag along camper with a hitch weight somewhere around 750~900lbs, I have no problems at all. I do have airbags, but I only run 10~20psi in them, I don't think the truck really even needs them. I like the tires. I haven't had them long enough to comment on tread life, but when I tow or haul I run 60psi and they ride great, and around 40psi unloaded and they are still pretty smooth (especially for an e-rated tire). They don't bulge at all (e-rated) and there is no sidewall sway (that I can feel anyway). They aren't major mud tires, but they still get decent traction. I have hauled my camper through some muddy fields and dirt roads to get to some of the camping/riding areas, and in 4 low, they pulled right through some pretty nasty stuff. They also ride great on the road. Unless something really bad happens with these tires like a tread separation or something (I doubt that will happen), I will replace these with another set when they wear out.
