3 fold tonneau cover, any good ?

How are the 3 fold vinyl tonneau covers ? I had 2 Access roll up, and the velcro unglued from frame.

I assume the 3 fold don't need any velcro or seal, just fold each section.

Can the rear 3rd section be lifted up to open bed completely ?

Also, where is a good place to buy and what's a good brand ?

Thanks

I'll find out in a couple days. I just ordered a Advantage Kwik Draw from truckaddons.com. Only $275. All teh other tonnneaus I've had were snap on. Trying something with better bed access.
Check out truckaddons.com they have about every mfr of covers for sale.

I have a Trifeca(sp?). It works well, no complaints. Just make sure you properly store the locking handle correctly (more importantly, make sure your brother-in-law knows how!)

I went to a local Fleet Farm and they had a 3 fold mofel on clearance for $ 229.
It was a little tough to assembly, but the installation is a breeze.
I was concerned to what happens whae you need the full bed, and I realized I will have to remove whole cover, which takes 20 seconds.
The unit looks tight and nice, it travels excellent and no more velcro to worry about.

I also have the tri-fecta tonneau cover from extang. I hate snaps, velcro, etc. This one has none of this, lifetime warranty on frame, hardware, 10 year on fabric. The front piece stays secure, then folds out twice, were the rear is tied down with quick clamps. When open there is tie downs to drive with it open. The customer service is outstanding. I was brain dead, for some reason forgot to tie the front down. Went for a drive, get back home, cover was gone. Drive down the road, find it in the ditch. The cover is pretty good shape. The hinges are wrecked, since I did up the rear. They sure did good job holding up. Phoned up Extang, listed the parts I needed. The rep said those parts dont break, I said sure they do when you dont do up the front tie downs. He said you shouldnt do that, I had a good laugh, no doubt. He took down my shipping address, really to give him my credit card # for payment. Said no need for that, its covered!

Good to know about Extang. I've had 2 of their covers (snap on ones) and both held up real well, never had a cause for warranty parts. ANd they do hold the weight advertized! Came home after a trip to Boston one yr to find about 3' of snow on it....didn't collapse.
Should get that Advantage cover tomorrow.

Bakflip - I like that if you have a locking tailgate, you can have a locking tri-fold cover. On the pricier side if you're looking at just a regular tonneau cover, but about 1/2 the price of a one-piece fiberglass cover. This will probably be my next cover, if I ever get another truck.
